Hello, my name is Teri Daws. I was born in London in the 70's and then moved to Surrey as a child. I now live in Kent with my family. I started writing stories as a teenager for fun, but never really took it seriously until after I started university. I have had various inspirational articles as well as a number of motivational ebooks, published online. I love reading all sorts of good quality books and spend hours creating all sorts of dilemas for my characters who are confronted with everyday, but often challenging, circumstances. I have always had a passion for fiction and decided it was finally time to stop making excuses and put pen to paper. I graduated with an honours degree in computing - (I still don't know how I managed it - it was one of the hardest things i've ever done!) - and soon after started my own business, running a women's clothing shop. I am a proud mother of twins who always keep me on my toes and inspire me to write. I took some web design classes a while back and I'm glad I did. The knowledge I gained has enabled me to create this site and four other sites. I take web design classes when I can as well as creative writing classes to keep my skills up to date. I love writing poetry and motivational articles for women, which will be published in the near future. Beautiful is Blue is my first published novel. I'm really excited about it and proud of myself, because I worked really hard on it and because the story-line is close to my heart as it is based on a true story. It is a fresh contemporary novel that deals with a serious issue but at the same time is light-hearted and will definitely move and inspire readers from all walks of life. Read an extract here
