Background Information

Laurie Sheppard is a Career Strategist and Life Coach. She has been coaching professionally since 1994, helping thousands of clients with life planning, career development and transitions. Her coaching clients have a wide range of successes in their personal and business lives. Laurie is a master certified coach with The International Coach Federation. Her coach specialty is to assist midlevel professional women to sustain their personal renewal by effectively integrating their personal and career goals. Laurie helps her clients first understand where they are and together they build a bridge to where the client wants to be. Creating At Will programs focus on well-rounded solutions for addressing new challenges and changes. They range from one-on-one coaching, to group work and intimate renewal retreats for women professionals. In partnership with Thinkx, she leads productive thinking trainings and facilitations internationally. Her published books are The 3 C's for Effective Living: Change, Creativity and Communication and a co-authored coaches book, A Guide to Getting It: Self-Esteem. She has numerous articles and publishes a bi-monthly career tips newsletter, available free at her website. A frequent speaker for women's professional groups, Laurie is often a guest on national radio shows.   With over twenty years of experience in the field of human development, Laurie was in management and administrative positions in corporate and legal environments. She was the Project Manager for the Los Angeles Youth At Risk Foundation and a volunteer manager for Landmark Education, an international seminar program, where she was responsible for over 1,000 participants.   Laurie balances her professional life with reading and movies, taking long walks, and quality time with her husband, family and friends. She lives in Los Angeles and is known as "The LA Coach."
