Information
Paul McGoran lives in Newport, Rhode Island. In his life before fiction, he was a Russian language interpreter for the U.S. Navy, a career marketing executive, a day trader, and a management consultant. In addition to his first novel Made for Murder (New Pulp Press), McGoran has completed a sequel entitled The Breastplate of Faith and Love. A volume of his short noir fiction, Paying for Pain,was also published by New Pulp Press.
All of Paul's stories are in the hardboiled and noir mystery/suspense genres. His affinity for these works goes back to childhood and the old films he bunked school to watch on television in the fifties. He admires a range of authors in the genre, from Jim Thompson, Elmore Leonard and Lawrence Block to Michael Connelly and George Pelecanos.
