Marquita Danielle Siler aka STORM was born in Washington,DC  but raised by her grandparents in North Carolina. After graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, she returned to D.C. where she graduated with honors from the George Washington University with a Master of Arts degree in Education and Human Development.   Throughout her life and educational pursuits, the woman known as Storm has always been a passionate writer and poet.  She credits her family's influence as the driving force behind her accomplishments and pursuit of her dreams. She views them as one of the most important and influential aspects of her life, especially her mother and grandparents. Although she feels she is very much her own person, she has discovered certain aspects of herself that have been influenced by these three individuals.        Storm considers herself to be a sociable, outspoken and passionate individual, who can also be very persuasive and a very good negotiator when it is a subject she is passionate about.  She definitely brings enthusiasm to a project that sparks her interest and credits writing as her outlet for life's experiences; both good and bad.  In fact, it was this reasoning that led her to divide her debut book Dreams in Motion: A Collection of Poems and Short Stories, into sections titled The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly; representing those respective sides of life. A lover of music, art, films, and plays, Storm attributes these things as a sort of "artistic therapy" in her life. Being an author, spoken word artist and the CEO of two companies, Dreams in Motion, LLC and Visions of Serenity, LLC, Storm leads a pretty fast paced life. She is currently, performing on a book tour for Dreams in Motion: A Collection of Poems and Short Stories; and is working on her second book and first full length novel titled A Beautiful Lie which is expected to be released in 2009.
