Classical pianist, former high school chorus, keyboard and drama teacher, musical theatre director. Influences were every piano teacher I had since childhood. I opted not to follow the path of concert stage pianist and have instead taught piano privately and worked with hundreds of fine musicians. Writing has been a craft I've done all my life, beginning with diaries as a child. First published book came about because I was tired of saying I wish I could write a book. Figured out how to go about and voila, more have followed. Major influences have been the life of an Air Force brat and all the relocating I had to do. Forces one to greet the world anew every time and see many sights along the way. More than one marriage and raising two children on my own definitely had their influences....not always good but certainly attention-getting.....the thousands of extraordinary musicians I've played with and taught have shaped my music. Favorite musicians and authors have influenced my desire to improve my skills as a musician and a writer.

First published historical romance, Almost Taken, written as Isabel Mere, was nominated best historical romance of 2007 and placed runner-up in a second contest. Many wonderful reviews have been written about this book as well as the one released this year.
