SCOTT E. SMITH, who works as a creative director at a Chicago advertising agency, was also named one of three director finalists in the last installment of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s filmmaking competition, Project Greenlight. Smith's background is everything that contributes to creative expression. His major influences widely range from his father, to author Christopher Buckley,  to filmmaker Alexander Payne. Besides novels, Smith also writes short stories, films, and plays. He resides in Chicago with his wife and children.
