As a troubled child, I began writing at the age of seven. My poetry and short stories were a way for me to escape reality and live in a perfect world. By the age of nine I was winning poetry contests each time I entered them. I knew I had a gift from God but my life remained stressful and self-destructing. As most inspirational stories are told, I had my breakthrough. It came from a wandering stranger with a recollection of my life's journey and a message for God to use the gift that he had given me. And so I began to write novels, starting with my autobiography and it served as therapy to defeat the demons that had once succeeded in controlling my life. But it is a new day now! I have a testimony to tell. And my raw, gut-wrenching, profound, in-your-face stories will make you a  fan of V Lyric Parker for life! And please don't mistaken me as arrogant or boasting. I know that the best author and book is merely a person with a skill without support from readers. So I thank you in advance. I self-published my book for over 3 years before realizing that I didn't have enough hustle in me to walk the streets for sells. Now I have signed a contract and I am apart of the Belletristic Press Company out of Long Island NewYork. My autobiograpy titled, "The Darkest Gray" is due to be released February 2009.

I have won numerous poetry awards. I self-published "Who Has Lived My Life?" my autobiograpy which has been changed to "The Darkest Gray" and "A Momma's Love" a fictional romance novel.
I have also appeared as a guest on the syndicated radio show in Atlanta, V103 to recite my poetry and promote my novel.
