Male, born 03/19/46. Raised in rural upstate N.Y. B.A. degree from Marietta College, liberal arts school in Ohio. Enlisted man US Army '69-'71. Vietnam 1 year as Combat Engineer in I Corps near Chu Lai, 9 months in Heilbron Germany. Lived near Hartford Ct. 5 years. Lived in Southern California '77 to present. My paying occupation is as a data processor, computer programmer. Two grown boys, one Cal grad, one Cal State Fulleron grad. Same wonderful wife since '71. Favorite authors: John Steinbeck, Joseph Conrad, Hemingway, Twain, "The Bard", Tracy Chevalier.  My book is not a Vietnam memoir. It has received much better reviews than expected. I'm working on a second book.
