Grew up in the inner city of Detroit, but always wanted to get outside the picket fence. My mother was a big influence on my life through her love of words. When I was sixteen, I was the first black student to integrate an all white school in Traverse City, Michigan. I was influenced by my foster mother, who was a sculptress. She encouraged me to write.

Was featured in Black Enterprise Magazine April 2001 and Inland Valley News March 29, 2001. In 2008, as an agent, I have negotiated book deals for other writers.
