Goldie has been a published writer of some 80 plus books for all ages these last 25 years. She is best known for her historical novels which include "Mavis Road Medley" .  "My Australian Story: Surviving Sydney Cove" and "Body and Soul: Lilbet's Romance." However she also writes adult murder mysteries,the trilogy  "UnJust Desserts', "UnKind Cut" "Unfair Coverup" and the romance 'Penelope's Ghost' pluscrime  for children "A~PI"s: Hedgeburners" and "A~Z PI Car Crimes"  ,the  story picture book "Lame Duck Protest", anthologies of stories for older children : "KIller Virus" and "My Horrible Cousins" , 'Space afooty' and the nonfiction maga books "Health and Understanding" the crime series for kids: A~Z PI 'Hedgeburners' and 'Car Crimes',.'eSide', 'Neptunia', 'Cybertricks', 'The Youngest Cameleer' aplus many prize winning short stories. Having come from a teaching background, she takes creative writing classes and enjoys visiting schools, universities and clubs to talk about writing and books. She encourages beginner writers of all ages to put their thoughts down on paper(aka computer) and is happy to show them how to shape these ideas into interesting prose. In 'Mentoring Your Memoir' she shows us how to document our own life histories. This guide offers a practical and stimulating approach that will lead you through the creative process from research, structure, crafting, beginning and endings, to controversial issues and publishing. As well as offering practical hints for both experienced and novice writers, Goldie writes about her own early years and provides the reader with many examples of how these influenced her later work. Several of her children's books have been named as Notable Books by the Australian Children's Book COuncil. Many of her her short stories are prize winners. 'In Hades' was short listed for the Aurealis Awards and she won the 1015 Rolfe Bolderwood short fiction prize.
