I'm an inspirational writer who has recently found my voice from beautiful and amazing circumstances in my life. I'm the author of one book at present, Irish Angels, which chronicles my years as an Irish dancer and how two darling Irishmen, known to all the world as the famous duo Foster & Allen, inspired me through their music and their friendship, helped me get to the top in my dancing, and later on in my adult life, remained with me like a couple of earthly guardian angels! I've been writing since the wee age of 2. Even during the days when I was only learning to write I still made up stories and told my family about them, drew pictures of funny characters I'd invented, and later on used some of them in my stories I wrote for school. My uncle, now passed away from cancer, held a phD in English and he has always been my inspiration and I still feel that today he is watching me write and helping me out. I'm told that I'm a lot like him when I read a supposedly good story and then whinge about being put off by all the spelling mistakes and grammatical errors that I might pick up along the way! My other major influence, although he's not a writer, is Mick Foster, of the aforementioned duo Foster & Allen. He has been my mentor since the age of 10 in all things, and he's a dear friend of mine these days. I strongly admire his carefree attitude to life and the belief that no one should dictate to you what you should be doing - it's your life! My school teachers always encouraged me to be an author when I left school, however, Irish dancing ruled my world for a long time, and it's only after I retired that I picked up a pen (or went to the computer keyboard!) and wrote something. I couldn't believe how much I'd missed it! I do not believe that there is such a word as IMPOSSIBLE and I hope to share and express that in any future books that I write, like I have in this one. Irish Angels will be sold at Foster & Allen concerts during the upcoming Australian tour in 2010. I write this here under "Achievements" since in my eyes, it is!
