Exploring the world has become a way for me to explore myself as I see my reflection through different cultures. As I travel and volunteer, the process of writing becomes a way to communicate what I am seeing and feeling. All of my adventures both sad and glad have bubbled up inside of me and I suppose writing them down was inevitable. The creativity of word expression is like dancing in my mind. It is a moment in time when I slow everything down and find first what it is I am feeling and then see if I can bring that straight to my reader. It is in this calm place, the stillness, that perhaps I have a moment to hear my own soul dancing. I know that my breathing is quite different when I am writing. As for influences, every one of the wonderful authors who have kept me happy for hours is a motivation to communicate with passion.
