I worked for more than twenty years as a reporter and journalist reporting on daily news events that often seem to focus on human tragedy. Many years ago, I started doing some "fun" writing and the results have been very rewarding. I've written four family humor books devoted to the lighter side of family and the joys of parenting. I am a communications specialist by trade and my most recent book is a communications survival guide for small businesses, non profit organizations and community groups that need media relations help.

I received more than a dozen journalism awards during my news career. As a communications director, I've earned several honors. As a writer, my book "Dad, You Are NOT Going Out Wearing That!" received an award from the Northern California Publishers and Authors Association.
