I was raised in the Rockies of Montana and on the plateau of Washington... I married my high school sweetheart (the farmer's daughter) and we have two wonderful and talented daughters. We live in a double-wide on five acres overlooking the mighty Columbia River. I am a recently retired public high school teacher (Art, Photography, Graphic Design, Spanish)... used to life on the front lines. My life is filled with stories inspired by my own experiences and by the many beautiful/terrible souls I have encountered. The journey is both joyful and jagged along the way.

I am an Extra for 8 seconds in Spielberg's movie "Always". I love to write poetry and stories and I am published in "Chicken Soup for the Grandparent's Soul" on page 107,108 and 345. Published by Health Communications, INC. I was also chosen as one of the top ten poets for Fall 2002 in a book called "Celebrate! Poets Speak Out". (Published by Creative Communication, INC.) I have been "Teacher of the Year" a couple of times too and I am mentioned various times in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers". My latest book is called "The Blessing of a Grandfather's Love".
