Born in Malaysia, educated in England, lived in a dozen countries around the world. The thing about traveling to and living with other cultures is that you get a lot of background, and if you're a writer and never wanted to be anything else even though you had to earn a living, what better way is there to gather material. I started writing at age eight and never looked back.
