CHYNNA LAIRD – is a mother of four, a freelance writer and an award-winning author. Her passion is helping children and families living with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and other special needs. She’s authored two children’s book, two memoirs, a parent-to-parent book, a Young Adult novella, a Young Adult paranormal/suspense novel, a New Adult contemporary novel and an adult suspense/thriller.

I'm Not Weird, I Have SPD was a "Finalist " in the "Children's Picture Book: Softcover Non-Fiction" category in the 2009 USA Book News Awards!

As well, her book, "Not Just Spirited: A Mom's Sensational Journey With Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)" has won a Finalist nod in both the "Health: Psychology/Mental Health" as well as "Parenting/Family: Reference" categories!

Dark Water won first place in the 2017 Paranormal/Supernatural category through Chanticleer Book Reviews.

I currently working on a reference book for parents raising children with SPD. I'm also working on a coming-of-age YA novel, as well as the next book in the Watcher series ('Dark Water'). I also have a few other YA/Teen/NA projects in the works that I can't wait to share with everyone. Stay tuned!
