A novel about a family during World War II, set on the homefront in Springield, Mass., and in the South Pacific. The book focuses on four characters and how their lives were affected and changed during the war years.
I have published five books to date and my sixth will be out in the summer of 2011. Three of these books are in a series about a young privateer sailor during the American Revolutionary War. The fourth comes out in 2011.

Information
I am a lifelong reader of maritime fiction and non-fiction. My writing has been influenced by C.S. Forester, Alexander Kent, Dudley Pope, Frederick Maryatt, Patrick O'Brian, and others. I was in the USN as an Aviation Electrician and a radio operator on a P2V Neptune. I have a degree in Industrial Design from University of Washington and retired from Boeing after thirty-five years as an engineer and manager. I am a member of Whidbey Island Writers Association. Living on Puget Sound, I enjoy cruising, crabbing, and fishing in my boat and I've been able to sail on the square-rigged ship Lady Washington several times as well as other sailing vessels.
