Information
Being a Communicative Arts (English) major with major emphasis in Dramatic Literature & Performance, I took a poetry class while attending a local university and I was "stuck" with the ideal of making words come alive and showing the feelings of sadness, compassion, joy and seriousness in everyday life. The art of taking words and presenting them in a way that it paints a picture in the far reaches of my mind is "my joy" and "solitude".
I am currently a member of the North Carolina Reading Association and the International Reading Association (IRA) which promotes literacy across the State of North Carolina and the world.
"Reading" and "Writing" go together like a "Sail" and a "Boat" - you need both to move forward.
I think whenever I used to watch "The Waltons" television series years back and watching Johnboy write down his thoughts while staring out the window into the distant sky was enough to make me want to do the same - and it made me realize that , yes, we do have dreams out there.............
"DREAMS" are always in the back of our minds. "HOPE" is in our heart. "DETERMINATION" is with us constantly. "FULFILLMENT' is an assemblage of all the above........................
