My background in writing and stand up comedy goes back to my days (in the 1940's and 50's) as well as my learning to write poetry. My twenty four years as a member of the U S Army in both hot and cold wars  inspired my artistic endeavors. I grew up being Peck's bad boy, serving time in the state boys reformatory and a brief stint in a State mental institution. The latter served me well because it  is closely related to Ken Kesey's, tome, "One flew over the cukoo's nest" I have been writing my story of that stay over the years. The happiest four years of my life were attending the eigth grade. :-) Dats ware I lernened two rite words; I done good huh? Stay in skool kids, or you'll end up like me. ;-(  Scary isn't it, and eye vote two. Yikes! At present; March 2013 I have written  In service to Her country,  It spans the viet nam war, takes in the incursion into Grenada, the first gulf war and the invasion into Iraq. The main character; Nicole, is at the stories opening an eighteen year old senior in high school and a Candy Striper volunteer in her local hospital. The story follows her growing into maturity, marriage, enlisting as a commisioned officer into an Army Reserve hospital unit, and graduating top of her class in nursing school. The many conflicts she faces along the way become the gist of the story. There is high drama, love, deciet, chills and thrills, and a reader pleasing happy ending. Or is there a happy ending?? Stay tuned folks.  :-) also completed is, Stacie and the bank, as well as close to one hundred works of flash fiction. My poetry collection of my own works has grown faster and larger than I thought possible. My lifes experiences have given me enough interesting and reader pleasing stories to last my lifetime and beyond. As a thespain, I have had roles in ten community theater productions, all of which I am vastly proud, my crowning acheivment was being cast as the father of helen Keller in the Miracle worker. I was honored to have been given roles in four productions in the prestigious WINNI PLAYHOUSE theater company, as well as roles in the Wesely Players of Gilford, NH. As a standup comic, I have had gigs in such diveres palces as army service clubs, senior homes and centers, open mics,  I am never not on anybody standing still long enough for me to open aconversation is subject to my humor, much to the chagrin of my longtime and suffering  friends. As  a spoken word performer-story teller and poet I attend a circut of venues monthly in Central NHboth as a an audience member and speaker.  

At last, a 4.0 in creative writing. LRCC Laconia, NH. I took every concievable Army Engineer and leadership course offered in the U S Army; passing them all.
