I worked as a copywriter for McCann Erickson (Philippines) Advertising Agency before emigrating to America and embarking on a writing career for both fiction novels and screenplays. I have written several screenplays, one of which was sold recently to an independent producer. NOT MY BOWL OF RICE is my first novel. Coming up is a sequel to Not My Bowl Of Rice and another novel titled THE GIVENCHY

The 2003 Independent Publisher Book Awards has named ER Escober?s Filipino-American novel Not My Bowl Of Rice as a finalist in the Best Fiction, Multi-Cultural Category. It is the first Filipino-American novel ever to be chosen for the honor. The Independent Book Awards or IPPY, launched in 1996, are designed to bring increased recognition to the deserving but often unsung titles published by independent authors and publishers. Announcement and celebration were held at the BookExpo America in Los Angeles on May 30, 2003.
In the works are the sequel to 'Not My Bowl Of Rice' and another novel called THE GIVENCHY CODE.
