Hello!  My name is Thelma C. Cunningham.  I am a new author.  I have just published my first book of 81 poems with the Xilibris Book Company.  I have also recently published a second book as well. Right now the books can be purchased on the Xilibris web site and all books can be purchased from Amazon and all other online book stores.  I  am very excited about these books.  The poem books  are  multi subject poetic books that express and are about love, spiritual, child jingles, everyday heart felt messages.     The name of my first book is "Wow, Now That's Poetry", Read Me More.......by Thelma Cunningham www.authorthelmacunningham.com I have always loved reading stories and poems from a child.  My biggest influence on my love for reading came from my mother.  She also wrote poems, sang and could sing very well as well as being muti- talented in different areas.  I inherited her gifts too.  I also sing and have published some of the songs that I wrote in my poetry book. I have a new poem book entitled "Say It With Poetry" Trumpet Poetry" 114 poems www.sayitwithpoetrybythelmac.com The other newest release is the 7 short story-First of its kind Mommy Series entitled: "Lisa's Unforgettable Stories"  This book will have a 12 short story sequel very soon. 3rd book of poems very soon to follow  Other poets who drew my attention to their written words of expression.  Some were Langston Hughes, Maya Angelo, David Frost, Emily Dickinson, Helen Steiner Rice, Shel Silverstein, and many others. To know about me is to love the expressions of words expressively written and unhindered in poetic or story format.  Finally, to appreciate poetry is to travel deep into your thoughts, and if it finds inner meaning for you, thank God for the poet.  If it disturbs you, then ask yourself why, not the poet for they only wrote and write what they or others viewed, felt or experienced at one time or another.  You may ask them for clairity but be satisfied with their answer.  Writers also bring comfort and smiles as well as educate.  Most of all, again, thank God for poets and writers because they say plainly or  creatviely alot of what others dare not to say, address, or have the ability to express. Yes!  Mine talent is the gift of writing through poetry and stories.  I humblely follow a path already paved by many other great like minded human beings.
