I was born and raised in probably one of the worst places in the british isles (Glasgow), i don,t use the words great britain because there is nothing great about this country, the word "great" smacks of the arrogance so called upper class britons suffer from.  When you look at the blood soaked history of Britain, and the atrocities and crimes against humanity that succesive British Governments have commited in the name of  the "Commonwealth" it can only make you feel ashamed of our forefathers. I intend to write a great deal about our shamefull past, i don,t like the way it has been swept under the carpet.                                                                     About half of the male members of my family have seen active service while serving with the british army, some like myself in special services., others in regular regiments.  I will be revealing some events that the British government would rather stay secret. so as soon as i have the time i will get stuck into that. Well i guess i had a pretty run of the mill kind of childhood, from a young age you soon end up in your local "gang" purely  for tribal and self survival purposes and much of our free time was spent trying to keep out of trouble or rather getting up to trouble without getting caught.  I hated school. seems as if we were there for the sadistic pleasure of the teachers. I spent a lot of time off school playing hooky (truant) i,d spend a lot of time birdwatching or birds nesting depending on the time of year. When Paul Bruce and myself compared childhoods the similarities were quite spooky, there we were hundreds of miles apart but living almost identical lives. Yep, we could have been twins seperated at birth, we even look alike except he shaves his head and i shave my beard. I was glad to leave school, unbeknowing to me i would gain my education in the army. I had a few jobs labouring in local factories before i decided to join the army. As like nearly all soldiers i joined to get away to see the "World" there were no thoughts of patriotism or duty to Queen and country in my head, those are the words of the media, people who know nothing of soldiering.
