Adda Leah Davis is a native West Virginia writer, now living in Virginia.  She is a retired elementary school teacher and counselor and the author of eight books: Here I Am Again, Lord, An Old Time Primitive Baptist Universalist Preacher,Caleb's Song, School Workbooks for First, Second, and Third Grades, A series of three books, beginning with Lucinda's Mountain, then Jason's Journey, and ending with The Beckoning Hills. Davis is currently finishing a story with a mystery which is set in West Virginia and is working on another series entitled The Many Shades of Green. The first book begins in Antrim County, Ireland and crosses the Atlantic to Pittsburgh, Pa. The second book is set in Virginia and depicts the daughter left as an orphan and reared in the Mountain Mission School in Grundy, VA. The third book features the grown up daughter who flees to a farm in Lewisburg, WV but with a lingering hope to return to Ireland. Won first place in a West Virginia writers contest and was published in And Now the Magpie. Have been published in anthologies, newspapers, and magazines. My song was chosen as the Alma Mater of Southwest Virginia Community College, Richlands, Va in 2009. Davis, Davis is a playwright director for oral history theater, she was director of economic development for a county for six years while living in West Virginia.
