-first published academically in psychology while a graduate student, Patricia became interested in fiction writing as an avenue to write about therapeutic issues that would reach a wider readership. She ran a private practice as a psychotherapist in the city of Vancouver for twenty-three years while holding a university appointment for ten. In her trilogy, Mighty Orion, Patricia uses story telling to convey how families can achieve a certain level of reconciliation amongst broken relationships. These novels are fiction with a serious message. Understanding for the trials & tribulations of others, willingness to come half-way, and a sincere wish to mend broken bridges are at the core of an entertaining story. Old Percy Kilkenny, like so many seniors of our day, must examine his life lived. Other characters are pivotal in cultivating fertile ground for the process of healing. Patricia firmly believes that if people can grasp some understanding for why events happened, what prompted someone to behave the way they did, it paves the way for bridging the gap.

Patricia is a Registered Nurse, has a Bach. of Education, Masters in Counselling Psychology (Univ. of British Columbia), Founding member of the Okanagan Writers League, Member of BC Federation of Writers, Assoc.member of Can.Authors Assoc., & The North Shore Writers. She is the winner of the Okanagan Literary Arts Award, 2012. She is co-founder of the Writers Cultural Immersion Week, Dalhousie, NB Aug.10-16,2014.
