After a long and varied career in the ministry, most of those years as a missionary with a gripping commitment to be a change-agent through teaching, I have found the avenue of writing as fulfilling as anything I have ever done. Through my studies at Fuller Theological Seminary's School of International Studies and the many years side by side with insightful and colorful men in the jungle highlands of Papua New Guinea whose worldview had room to embrace me and teach me, I found my voice.  I am indebted to men of academic stature for their skillful instruction and guidance, but I am equally indebted to those men whose stature of simple faith emboldened mine.  What I write is not my own.  The words have been authored deep within me by others. In this stage of my life, I find the theme of grace a relentless shadow I cannot shake.  The word must never be allowed to melt into virtual meaningless by its casual misuse in a world that can no longer recognize it.  Nothing is more powerful than to be a captive of grace, to daily discover the depth and breadth of it. I am on a bold and beautiful journey of grace, and I have no choice but to share it.
