I write because I love to write. (fairly cliche that line) About me, well I wasn't particularly great in English as a student in High School but in my defence I loved to read and I was very imaginative. When I was a little girl I was in the Brownies and I wrote a play for a few of my fellow members to act out, I think that was my first writing piece, I have no idea what it was about but I do remember that I was a very bad director. My mum had an old clunky typewriter and I remember typing a story, drawing some pictures stapling it together and placing it in my bookshelf stating that I was an author, did I, at such an early age realise that I wanted to be a writer, maybe. Another early recollection was one of myself performing magic tricks infront of my parents, perhaps I liked to show off. In grade five or maybe it was six I wrote three stories that were made into books, I still have them, my mother kept them and I am so glad that she did, they make me smile. (never for public viewing- :) ) It wasnt until I settled down and had children and was appalled at my career choice or lackthereof a debt collector in an office, over the years I had come to despise office work only truly relishing human interaction but hating work of any kind, (I'm no differnet to any other person I suppose) but one day I sat down and started writing to get a story that was in my head, out. I fell in love with writing all over again and I love to hear people enjoying my stories. I hope that you do too.  

Hmmm acheivements I classify being sane whilst raising two children an acheivement. No at this stage I don't have any writing achievments or badges to pin on my chest. I'm working on it. though.
