After 24 years as an administrative assistant to a financial advisor, I retired to write full time.I love, writing. My 1st two books, An Unlikely Arrangement and An Unlikely Beginning came out in 2011, and 2012 respectively and have both won awards. An Unlikely Arrangement placed 2nd in Romance in the Forward National Literature Awards & An Unlikely Beginning placed 1st in Romance in the Texas Association of Authors Contest. The 3rd An Unlikely Conclusion came out in Sept. 2013 and won 1st place in the Texas Assoc. of Authors in Romance.  As a child, I read voraciously. Books became my escape. After my children were grown and gone, I turned to writing. Over the years, I have published many poems and short stories. The pride of my life is my newest book, An Unlikely Deception released Aug. 2016. Influences on my writing career have been my 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Bell, my family, and authors such as Margaret Mitchell and Diana Gabaldon. I love a good tale and the more intricate, the better. I've learned a great deal going through the process of turning out my first four books and I hope I continue to improve as I go. I write romantic historical fiction. I love to read historical novels, so naturally love to write them. I'm just fascinated by things in past eras. I love the roaring twenties and that is where my two books are set. But I also write romantic comedy and hope to have my current work out soon. .

Member of Northeast Texas Writers Organization and am a Lifetime member of World Wide Who's Who, Member of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs, Marshall, Texas. Finalist in the '50 Great Authors You Should Be Reading' contest put on by TheAuthorShow.com. My book An Unlikely Arrangement has recently won the Forward National Literary Award in the romance category. An Unlikely Beginning, 2nd in the series, won 1st place in Romance with the Texas. An Unlikely Conclusion won 1st place in the romance category with Texas Association Association of Authors. I have a short story I won 1st place in a summer contest on Angie's Diary, A Summer Tale. I've won many bowling awards for 200 games, high series, etc.
