HEIDI BRIGHT, M.Div., is a native of our northern hemisphere. Born west of London, England, she moved across the Atlantic Ocean three times before settling in the United States.
Heidi's passion for writing emerged when she was 8 years old.

Information
After completing a BS in Agricultural Journalism from Kansas State University, Heidi wrote for Arabian horse magazines before starting seminary. She earned a master's degree in theology, yet never felt called to ordination. Instead she has been called, through writing, to help others deepen their spirituality. Learning about the apostle Junia and deacon Phoebe in the Apostle Paul's letter to the Romans inspired Heidi to research women in the Bible.
Her first book, "Hidden Voices: Biblical Women and Our Christian Heritage" (Smyth & Helwys, 1998) has been cited in three other books: Banned Questions of the Bible, Biblical Women--Submissive?, and Jesus of Hollywood.
Heidi's second book, Keeping Sabbath: Daily Life (Circle Books/John Hunt Publishing, Ltd., 2010), is part of the United Church of Christ Faith Practices series using a devotional format.
