My name is Susan Joyner-Stumpf. I’ve been writing since the age of eight and I’m in my 50’s. I'm considered to be a Free Verse/Experimentalist, Stream of Consciousness style writer. I not only write Poetry, I write Short Stories, Novels and Songs. I can hang coolly with the Traditional Writers but prefer the freedom that Free Verse allows. I'm a Dark, Abstract Writer and thus knowing will not appeal to the masses. My Novels and Short Stories are usually Horror-Thrillers, though I've been known to throw in a soft erotica romantic comedy now and then. I write for the pure love and rewarding joy of it, and I love sharing with other authors and being inspired by their works as well. I appreciate the camaraderie that develops between writers and forms that unbreakable bond. I also think it’s critical to maintain feedback with others to hone your craft.   I will die with a pen in my hand, for never will I ever be satisfied that I've finally written the perfect piece. I constantly push the envelope with myself and love to read, drawing inspiration through others' words. I look forward to meeting others who share common interests. When I'm not composing, I enjoy creating Graphic Art and riding my horses and being with my husband, who doesn't understand one ounce of my writing so if you visit me and don't understand a Poem, don't worry, you're not alone. I'm no cookie-cutter Poet. You don't see my style coming and going every which way around the corner. At the risk of sound vain, I know I’m fresh, unique, raw and to the point of being an All In Your Face type of writer. You either will hate me or love me, there will be no grey area. Of course, I’m rooting for the latter. Until we meet ~ Happy Writing!!!!  

Besides being a Published Author of eight books and counting, I am currently published in at least a dozen legetimate Anthologies over the span of my career, ever since childhood. Proud to say, I have won multiple Creative Writing Contests, Poetry Contests, Editor in Chief’s Choice Awards, winnings on both local, state-wide and International levels; many Honorable Mentions and Certificates of Recognition from the American Poetry Society, Library of Congress, and countless Awards from social internet writing sites.
