I served in The White House for 6 years - last post: Senior Director of the National Security Council, so I weave many of those experiences into the political thrillers I'm writing today.  I was also on the air for 15 years as a TV news reporter and anchor in S.F. and D.C. I have 5 published political thrillers - Checkmate, Gambit, Final Finesse and Castle Bravo. The latest one, Trust but Verify was awarded a Silver Medal by the Military Writers Societ of America.. Each of my novels deals with a different threat to our national security - the way I see them anyway, so of course, I'm trying to call attention to these issues.
