To make a long story short, my writing career began at the age of ten when I wrote my first play based on my fourth grade experience. Of course it was too amateur to publish, but just the overall experience of sitting up late at night, laying out my thoughts, fears and big imagination in a notebook was the beginning of a literary journey. From then on, writing became not only a passion, but my identification. Some of my biggest influences were watching alot of movies and dramas on television and wondering how the writers could come up with such groundbreaking and impactful material. I also watched alot of soap operas (especially All My Children) and just remembering being intrigued by the tragic, melodramatic and sometimes outlandish storylines and characters. From my experiences being entertained by television, I've learned to entertain myself by writing my own stories- tapping into my own imagination.  Growing up in the inner city and the suburbs, it wasn't common for young black men to be writers or even have a keen interest in anything academic or cognitive. Unfortunately as I've gotten older, writing has become a battle due to time restraints, commitment inability, lack of creativity and letting "real life" demands get in the way. Recently, I graduated from a great creative writing college in Vermont called Union Institute and University, which taught me to start living my life as a writer and to harness the talent I'm most greatful to be blessed with. My style of writing is limitless and diverse as I am tough to be placed into a box. I love all genres of writing and write anything from romance, to "Westerns" to psychological thrillers.
