In my 40 years as a journalist, I had the opportunity to cover everything from the cops beat to movie stars. That experience adds the ring of truth to the stories I tell. And I don't beat around the bush. I know how to take the reader to the scene, paint it with words so you can see it and hear it and feel it.  But you won't get mired in scenery descriptions or psychological ramblings. I write stories that move. Great News Town,  my first novel, was inspired by a series of murders that occured in Joliet, Illinois, when I was the assistant news editor there. But this isn't true crime.  It's a fictional story, with a spunky little newspaper staff you are going to love. In the second book, One Shoe Off, City editor Josie Braun is haunted by a missing editor from the past. My third book, Full Moon Friday, was released on June 13, a full moon Friday the 13th. It's about all the things that go wrong when there's a full moon  AND its Friday the 13th.
