I love puzzles and have patented two of them. My written works often involve a mystery to solve, sometimes explicit, sometimes hidden. I have written about 100 poems (one in the shape of a puzzle), 30 short stories, 2 novels, a novelette, and a novela. Laughter is music, and I don't write pure tragedy--my three-act tragedy has many funny lines. I've written 17 plays, total, so far. My work has been influenced by: some of Borges's irreal fiction, Asimov, Bradbury, Leiber, and many others. Years ago, whenever I couldn't go to school, I'd spend all day reading in our den, a room with bookcases on all four walls.  

Three non-fiction books published by TAB/McGraw-Hill. Four articles in various magazines. My one-act play, Prisoner of Suggins Holler, won a prize in Elite Theatre Group's 2010 contest. My Swords & Sorcery work was nominated for a Best Novel at the 2005 Santa Barbara Writers' Conference. My short story, Arma Virumque Cano, was also highly rated in the SBWC pirate workshops.
