The 1st book that made me want to write my own novel was The Coldest Winter Ever by Sistah Souljah, I was so inspired I wrote my first story right after I read the book. After that I hated that she didn't keep it going I felt cheated. I found Deja King last year and loved the fact that she intertwines characters from book to book. I loved TV shows that tell stories that way, ex:The Walking Dead, Heroes and Lost. I want my storied to be like that in a way but my subjects are different that anything I've read to date. My women characters tend to play the "heroe" role in my stories.
