About me I have loved stories and books since I learned to read from my schoolteacher mother at the age of 4. My books have evolved from my experiences working with children and teachers in a kindergarten environment. My greatest desire is to help today's children learn to love reading as much as I do. I live in Southwest Florida where I read, write, paint, and enjoy life with my husband and best friend, Bill. I began writing stories for children over 40 years ago, when My sons were young. Over the years, kindergarten teachers and others have used the stories to entertain and teach their classes. Many times, I was encouraged to have my stories published, but never did it until now. After my grandson was born, I began writing stories about a little boy and his adventures. These are now in the process of being formatted into a series of picture books that will be sold as Dylanbooks. Now that electronic publishing is available to those willing to put in the time and effort to learn the mechanics, I hane decided to share my stories with the world, via the internet. To do this, I have created Dolphin House Books. The name was chosen for the nickname my grandson gave to the motor home my husband and I used to travel the country. My stories are written in the style of old fashioned children's books. They depict a simpler, more innocent time when it was safe for children to play outdoors and explore the world around them, a time when it was assumed that adults in authority were both trusting and trustworthy. Dolphin House Books will publish my stories as picture ebooks. Initially, they will be available on Amazon.com. From time to time, various ebooks will be offered on a free promotion.
