For as long as I can remember, I have had a book in my hands. Or a pen. I remember my first good pen, a blue Parker and the way it glided across the page. I am a fan of Hemingway, James Joyce, Stephen King and Caleb Carr. Joyce Carrol Oates, Alice Hoffman, Roddy Doye, Natalie Goldberg, Nora Ephron, Maeve Binchy and Nelson DeMille have kept my attention through the years. I love the poety of Rumi, Yeats, and Pablo Neruda. I am a letter writer, longhand, a dying art, people always remind me. I start all my books with paper and pen. The keys fly later. I have ranted for a cause in many a letter to the editor of our local paper. I was a freelance journalist and writer on a local level. Fiction is my preference. Make believe and what if is so much more fun!   I have worn a few hats in my life. Long Island Press bicycle delivery girl, stationary store clerk, chambermaid, waitress, hostess, retail sales, salon shampoo girl, theatre box office, teaching assistant in austisitic unit, teacher's aide pre-K, childcare program coordinator in a domestic violence shelter, candidate for Town Trusee, neighborhood land preservation save the drinking water activist, mom, college student, actress community theatre,  journalist, and karaoke host. Now I live my true vocation, writer.
