I was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. In the late 1980s I relocated to Ft. Myers, Florida, where I stayed for two years. My first novel, the historical fiction/coming-of-age story entitled Jazz Baby, saw publication in April 2012. My second release is a collection of short stories called Slivers Of Life. I have also released Strange HWY: Short Stories, and the novella The Thing About Kevin. All are available through Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com, as well as other online sites. As a writer, I am influenced by the really strong storytellers, like Stephen Geez, Barbara Kingsolver, Daniel Woodrell, Alice Sebold, and A. M. Homes. 

I have a short story published in an anthology called Bridges From Which I Have Jumped (a top three honor). I also have short stories published in Fresh Ink Group Short Story Showcase #1; The Gates of Erebus (a collection of horror stories); Concordant Vibrancy 2: Vitality; and Rave Soup for the Writer's Soul volumes 1, 2, and 3. I received second place honors for humorous short story in Fresh Ink Group's 2012 short story contest. My novel Jazz Baby spent three weeks in the number one spot on the Indie Tribe Top Ten books list. Jazz Baby is the recipient of the 2014 All Authors Magazine Certificate of Excellence award. I have also published a collection of my short stories entitled Slivers of Life.
