Paula is an avid traveller and animal lover, writing about her own experiences through fiction. Her debut novel, The Okapi Promise, is based on her adventures crossing central Africa in 1990 in an old Bedford truck. Her children's series, Brumbies, calls on her lifelong passion and experience with horses.

Paula lives in the Snowy Mountain region of Australia on five hundred acres dedicated to providing a refuge to wildlife. After years of travel and work in the computing industry, she and her husband retired to a quiet life. Benefiting from the fresh air and bird song, Paula writes novels and plays piano when she is not caring for horses and other animals as well as enjoying her garden.
Accomplishments
Paula is a regular contributor to Horsewyse magazine as well as a number of other horse publications. She has had nature writing published in Dawntreader and Sarasvati in the United Kingdom. Her debut novel The Okapi Promise, a travel adventure, was released in December 2010.
All five Brumbies books are now available in both paperback and e-book, and the first became an Amazon best-seller in 2012.
