Anna Drake is a former journalist turned novelist who grew up in rural Illinois, where she again lives. As a child she fell in love with books by Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, and numerous other authors. But her passion remains mysteries. She says one of the most exciting moments in her childhood was the day she discovered a small stash of Nancy Drew books in her parents' attic.
