I grew up in a house filled with books and magazines, reading them before I entered kindergarden. I devoured everything through a huge variety of genres. I continued this during my 23 years in the military, expecially when stationed in South Vietnam. I was almost too busy sightseeing to read during my 12 years in Europe. I moved to Las Vegas aftering retiring in 1980. In 1989, I met my wife, Alejandrina, in Mexico. During those 34 years, I worked as the sales clerk in a pick-a-part junkyard, condominium complex security guard, delivered pizzas, drove a city bus, a transit bus at the airport, a tour bus giving guided tours, a cab driver, and a professional slot machine player. When I had my commercial driving license taken away due to be an insulin-dependent diabetic, I turned to writing. My first self-published book. Lost Wages in Las Vegas, came from my years gambling and driving a cab. Book One, The Sailor and The Carpenter, and Book Two, The King's Highway, and been published and are available in paperback and e-book formats. Book Three, The Missions Bloom, will be released in the near future. I am currently hard at work writing an epic tale of a true Mexican and Californian hero, Captain Fernando de Rivera.
