I use the pen name of Frances di Plino for my crime series, which is quite fitting because it's the feminine version of my Italian great-grandfather's name and he definitely had more than a whiff of crime about him.
I am an avid reader of crime fiction and devour the works of many America and British authors. My goal is to reach the high standards achieved by the masters of the craft.
Bad Moon Rising (the first in the D.I. Paolo Storey series) has reached the final of the People's Book Prize. Someday Never Comes (number two in the series) is in the running for a Crime Writers' Association Dagger Award.
