Carrie was born in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. She started performing at a young age making her professional debut with The Scottish Ballet aged 8. As a child she loved to entertain with impromtu performances. Essentially, she loved telling stories. And this is really how it all began.
She quickly moved into 'writing books' with her first attempt 'Battet For Rosie', made in hardback and self illustrated, winning her much classroom acalim.
Today as a fully fledged professional author and actress, having appeared in numerous West End shows and having worked with the likes of Sheila Hancock and Whoopi Goldberg, she loves to explore people and their relationships - what makes them tick, what drives them, what their hopes, dreams and aspirations are. What flaws they have and how they are imperfect. She thrills in discovering the different dynamics between people. Ultimately that’s what the job of acting is.

She went on to train with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain under Ed Wilson and gained her Musical Theatre Diploma and LAMDA Acting Dilpoma (Hons) at Laine Theatre Arts under Betty Laine and Tudor Davies.
She was nominated for an Off West End Award for playing the role of Amalia Balash In She Loves Me in 2013.
