Creativity, like the mind, is a terrible thing to waste. Writing is a creative channel to unleash my imagination and I love introducing subtle humor from everyday life.
When comparing the oil and watercolor images my family are capable of, my stick figure drawings are sad comparisons. Then I discovered clay! Another late-in-life discovery is that I love to write. Looking back at the dismal grades achieved in English classes of high school, I'm sure my teachers would find this news rather earth shattering. However, writing opens channels of creativity, one never thought imaginable. It's also a glaring window that exposes my earlier poor grades in English, especially when checking the grammar and punctuation with software or an editor!
Philosophically, I believe no good deed goes unpunished, and I'm a person who believes the glass is half-full—even though I drank half its contents, just seconds ago. I'll now add another, and one that most over the age of 60 will appreciate - I'm not dead until I've died!
