Linda M. Crate is an American writer born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but raised in the rural town of Conneautville. She has a Bachelors in English-Literature from Edinboro University of Pennyslvania.
Her poetry, short stories, articles, and reviews have been published in many magazines both online and in print.
She has two published fantasy novels thus far: Blood & Magic and Dragons & Magic - the first two novels of her seven book Magic series.
Linda also has two books of poetry out: A Mermaid Crashing Into Dawn (Fowlpox Press) & Less Than A Man (The Camel Saloon). Her third book of poetry "Sing Your Own Song" is forthcoming through Barometric Pressure Series.
She considers her major influences to be J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien, Anne Rice, C.S. Lewis, Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Emily Dickinson. She has always been fond of poetry and the fantasy genre.
