Nancy S. Mure grew up one of three children but just wanted to be herself. An identical twin, it was important to Nancy be seen as an individual in the overly enthusiastic and protective Italian-American household where she grew up. Named after her mother, Nancy felt a sense of identity eluded her. However, after she started her own family Nancy saw life ... a little differently. The urge to write hit her after two life changing events: a death and a birth. The emotional impact of her own father's passing coupled with the birth of her daughter, sparked enough emotions to pen Papa in the Sky, a story about the importance of remembering loved ones. However, Papa in the Sky wasn't the story that got Mure published. Her motivating tale, The Caterpillar that Wouldn't Change - a 'Little Train that Could' type story about acceptance is what made Nancy an Author. Mure discovered life situations provided her with plenty of material. She created Massimo's Meatballs, The Pizza Man and the Parrots, UnIdentical Twins, The Pink Lizard, The Really Jealous Jimmy Crab and Irregular Joe. She collaborated with first time Author and Educator, Jeanne Glassman Clair to create I Am A Dot: A Tale of Punctuation and Purpose. Her books are available for Kindle and NOOK. Mure remains consistent in celebrating individuality, determination and acceptance and explores them through the eyes of a child. This simple approach helps kids and even some adults address common questions concerning Heaven, dealing with change, accepting differences, feeling similar, stealing, appreciating your twin, finding your purpose, and even making meatballs! Mure refers to her stories as her 'Purple Crayon' because they have led her to some wonderful opportunities. An avid cook, Nancy has traveled to Sicily as a cooking student and appeared on the Food Network with Chef Tyler Florence. Her favorite food holiday is Thanksgiving.  

I heard someone say once to "Never put off the good things". I liked that saying and I've always used it. While I'm still trying to find my voice so to speak, these stories are an accomplishment and a good thing. My greatest and ongoing achievement is my children. That said, I hold a couple of college degrees as well.
