Despite my upbringing and the spiritual teachings of my parents, I began to falter in my faith and became angry at God for allowing the murder of my youngest son. My story is a poignant account of a mother with a broken heart and my struggle to remain faithful through it all while also praying for closure through the capture of my son's killer.

I am a retired bookkeeper from Buffalo, NY and I lived a happy,fruitful life being the mother of two sons and the grandmother of two granddaughters until the summer of 2000 when my youngest son Darian was shot and killed as he and friends were leaving a Social Club in our city. This is when my entire life changed and it will never be the same again.

Accomplishments
My book entitled When Half of Your Heart Dies was my first attempt at writing. I have since written a children's book entitled The Little Candy Breathing Dragons which was inspired by my two granddaughters Emaja and Anai. I enjoy writing and have also written a number of poems.
