The list of the poets that I've read that influenced me the most includes Lord Byron, Elizabeth Barret Browning, Rudyard Kipling, Edgar Allan Poe, and Alfred Lord Tennyson . With no formal training to either hone, [or skew and dilute] my style, I suspect my work to be the type that many readers of contemporary poetry seldom encounter.

Accomplishments
I was one of [typically] MANY winners of some state and national poetry contests in the 1960s and 1970s. I was featured as the Winter Quarter Featured Poet, 2005 by Muses Review, with 3 works nominated for poem of the year in both the fall and winter contests, and overall winner for the best poem and best poetry book of 2004 as well.
