Steven has been a writer all his life. His early works include a short story entitled, The Girl Who Liked Apple Scruffs, a novella entitled, God's Golden Shore and a play called, Napoleon in Rags. His major influences have been Steinbeck, Dylan, and Berra.  

Steven is a graduate of Montclair State University in New Jersey where he majored in History and English. He spent many years is the social services field providing support and encouragement to those in need. Over the years he provided leadership in the halls of organized labor and has settled in as a staunch advocate for a greener environment. He spends much of his time either at the keyboard or on the baseball diamond. He is a former MVP of the Wilday Wildcats.
