A novel about a family during World War II, set on the homefront in Springield, Mass., and in the South Pacific. The book focuses on four characters and how their lives were affected and changed during the war years.
A passion for the writings of Thomas Hardy prompted me and my husband to move, nine years ago, to Dorset where we have settled happily.
My first novel, Weatherbury Farm, is a sequel to Thomas Hardy’s Far From the Madding Crowd, and was first published in 1999. A Claim to Kin, is my second book and another of the Wessex Chronicles.
My 3rd novel, published by Writers Club Press 2001, is a sequel to Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles called The d'Urberville Inheritance.
Have now moved to Buckinghamshire.

Accomplishments
During my career as a college nurse I studied part-time with the Open University where I gained an honours degree in English Social History and Literature. I also studied several very interesting writing courses and have a certificate in short story writing.
