I am a retired police officer from Miami Beach, Florida, where I worked for 22 and a half years. Prior to that I was a physics teacher in a Catholic high school in Miami. I started writing when my wife, an RN for 26 years and a member of the US Army Reserves, was deployed to Ft. Campbell for fifteen months. Left alone in late fall here in the mountains of Tennessee, with four dogs and a cat to keep me company on our 4 acres in the forest, I wanted to begin a new hobby that would see me through the winter. I saw an ad in Smithsonian magazine about beoming an author and I thought to myself, "Why not?" So I started writing and it just flowed and flowed. The first draft was done in less than two months. And today, I finalized my project and now its officially a book!
